Bio/Description

Tara joined ProCES in Summer 2021. Tara comes from La Salle University, where she directed and taught in interdisciplinary programs dedicated to teaching and learning beyond the classroom. Tara has worked as a researcher, educator, and advocate in a variety of human rights organizations in the United States and Latin America. She brings extensive experience conducting and supporting community-engaged teaching and learning.  Her research centers on migration, sanctuary policy, immigrant incorporation and entrepreneurship, and community-engaged teaching.  She holds a BA in English Literature from the George Washington University, an MA in International Relations from the School for Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Community Development/Public Affairs from Rutgers University-Camden.
