The East Trenton Collaborative (ETC) is a community organizing initiative in the East Trenton neighborhood of Trenton’s North Ward. By facilitating conversations and action on community priorities, ETC engages partners, supports businesses, and builds the power of residents to make East Trenton a great place to live, work, and play. The East Trenton Vision Plan currently guides its work. In 2019, ETC is developing a new vision plan.
ETC has a number of research interests. As a grantee through New Jersey’s Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit program, ETC works on both real estate development and resident-identified neighborhood issues. Research on issues in public health, economic development, infrastructure, recreation, and government transparency and accountability would be invaluable. ETC would use this research to guide its real estate development choices and/or to help translate topics of community concern into specific campaigns for change.
